What is an on-premises DAM system?

Is an on-premises DAM more secure than a cloud DAM?

Neither model is automatically more secure. What changes is who carries the security work, and that is the question worth asking before you choose.

With an on-premise DAM, your own team owns the full security stack: physical access to the servers, network hardening, patching, backups, and disaster recovery. That gives you complete oversight, and it depends on having the in-house expertise and time to keep every layer current.

With a cloud DAM, the vendor and its cloud provider carry that load.
