FotoWare Life: the highlights of 2020

One of the biggest pieces of news for us was announcing that FotoWare had been acquired by Viking Ventures – a leading software investor in Nordics. The acquisition is a fantastic opportunity for us to take the next step on our journey, with a higher pace of innovation and the ability to deliver even more value for our customers.

This year, we also celebrated 25 years of FotoStation – a product that has become a go-to for many photographers around the world, and which started life on a scrap of paper:

We have also been recognized for our culture, as FotoWare was ranked as the best workplace in Norway and 7th best workplace in Europe by Great Place to Work.

Moreover, FotoWare was awarded by ODA Nettverk for our active work with gender diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

We have also been able to make many great new additions to our team this year, and we are still looking for more! So, if you feel inspired and would like to join our growing team, check out our open positions.

Media Management Award 2020

This year we ran the second Media Management Award, which aims to recognize the people behind impactful Digital Asset Management projects. We had three amazing finalists: The Royal Preston Hospital, The White House Historical Association and The South Australian Tourism Commission.

After careful evaluation, the jury chose the winner: The Royal Preston Hospital, who deployed a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution to help reduce contact between doctors, nurses, and patients during during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can read more about the project here as well as hear from the winners!
