Index Manager 7.0 system requirements
Due to the scalability of an Index Manager installation, system requirements will vary greatly depending on the type of system you are setting up. The below specifications outline the software required to run Index Manager. If you need help choosing hardware for the installation you should consult your FotoWare Certified Partner.
- Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2008*
- Internet Information Services 6.0 or 7.0
- QuickTime 7.6.4 (Full installation)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- Microsoft Silverlight 4
- Adobe Flash Player 10
- Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005
* Application is 32-bit, but is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the operating system.

2 The major parameter for deciding the number of cores is the number of users. If performance is not satisfactory when the number of users increase, adding cores or CPUs will be the best solution.
3 Disk space required for archived files is not included. Always make sure there is 20-30% free space left on the disk after reserving space for Index Manager. NAS disks are not supported for index and data cache storage. Disk performance is very important. SAN disks with low or moderate caching will not have acceptable performance.
Optional add-ons
- Adobe InDesign Server is required for Adobe InDesign document support
- Adobe Distiller Server or PStill is required for content indexing and to
generate previews for Adobe Illustrator files and EPS Vectors graphics
- Microsoft Office 2007 is required for certain document file formats
