The PrintSpace
The PrintSpace was formed with a view to providing a controlled environment for customers to manipulate digital images and artwork using high end computers and printing devices. The facility located in London has been completely refurbished to an ultra modern design.
As part of this new venture, a team of seasoned professionals decided to research the market to find the correct hardware and software to make this venture work. Managing Director Stuart Waplington and his team researched the market and chose FotoWare as their preferred supplier of digital imaging software.
The introduction of high specification Apple Mac Pro’s into the eight specially lighted retouching booths at the facility allows customers to concentrate, on producing high quality work in a controlled environment. Images may be printed at a number of output devices located on the premises.
A “drop box” facility is also offered to customers requiring quick proofs or high quality prints at the front of house reception at the facility.
FotoWare software was installed and a workflow routine worked out by our Technical people and PrintSpace engineers, routes images to a number of printing devices. FotoWare Color Factory Enterprise is used as the print engine to manage the sizing of images for any print device chosen by the customer.
In this way there is no need to size images or worry about paper quality and type, as each drop folder is monitored by Color Factory Enterprise and images are adjusted accordingly.
