Helly Hansen

Helly Hansen was founded in 1877, and aims to become a leading multi-specialist brand providing action utility wear for survival, work and sport.  The company’s head office is located in Norway, with regional offices in Europe, U.S. and Canada. Helly Hansen also has licensees in Japan, Korea and Australia.

Helly Hansen has implemented Cameleon Web as the corner-stone application for their designers and marketing people. Regional offices and licensees are logged on with access to the web archive. In Stockholm, the photographers and advertising agency are using Cameleon Web to ensure a smooth and fast exchange of digital pictures. In short, Cameleon has enabled Helly Hansen to convert their printed catalogue into a complete digital buyer’s guide. Thanks to FotoWare this guide is in the process of being digitized into a dynamic buyers’ guide on the web.

“With Cameleon Professional and Cameleon Web we spend less time on searching for images, and navigation in the image archive has become a lot easier and quicker. I would recommend FotoWare Cameleon as an efficient tool when working with large quantities of images,” says International Marketing Coordinator Arne Ingvaldsen from Helly Hansen.

Before
Used to store images on a local server and on an ftp-server. Only the marketing department had access to the images. One person was dealing with all the images, and made cd`s to send out whenever it was needed. This was very time consuming for designers as well as marketing partners. CD`s were sent by courier service, which made the logistics very costly.

Why
FotoWare has a system that makes it easy to find desired imagery, and makes it available on the web. For a worldwide network of users it was important to have the ability to search in a web based archive.

After
It is now quicker and easier for the designers, marketing people, photographers and the advertising agency in Stockholm, Grow, to search for the needed material and then download it. Regional offices and licensees are logged in with access to the web archive.

“This way, it is now more efficient and we use less time searching for images. At least a manyear has been saved.”
