Text & Search
The only information added to pictures automatically, is the data given by a digital camera. This information contains the date of record, shutter speed, focal length and other technical data. To make an image archive accessible now and in the future, there is a need for adding textual information to the pictures. This information is stored in the image file, and will not interfere with the image data itself.
FotoWare Cameleon automatically reads this information and makes it searchable. In addition you can add and edit the text manually, or implement text stored in a database and retrieved via an ODBC interface.

The text editor’s layout and available fields change depending on the type of file being captioned and can be customized to include exactly the fields you require. Create and apply text templates using an advanced macro tool, or import and apply an IPTC template from an external file.
